Hello, I bought a 1998 Suzuki DR350SE sport bike a few months ago and it has been running great. Recently, its become hard to start, but will eventually. Also, as of yesterday, it will not continue to idle. When I come to a stop, it cuts off unless I keep the throttle open some. I haven't owned a motorcycle for 20 years prior to buying this one. Any clues would be appreciated.

how about some crap in the gas/fuel system? a friend of mine had a nightmare with a similar issue due to some dirty fuel

Been a while, but I've been unable to ride due to cold weather and a cast on my foot (non-motorcycle related). The motorcycle will crank with no problem now .. it will idle for a while, then when it gets warmed up is when it starts to stall out on me .... I called around and one place told me it sounded like my intake valve needs adjusting. I looked through my manual and it doesn't say anything about adjusting the intake valve, so I guess I will need to take it to the shop. I don't believe its a gas problem ... I took it out last weekend and it rides fine ... just when I stop or slow down fast it cuts off ... then its hard to start back up. Also, when I returned home, I then could not keep it idling again.
