Hey guys, it's bee. A while but I use to have a C50 I rode everywhere. looking at possibly picking up a project bike. Found a guy who has a 2000 Suzuki intruder 800 for sale he said he will take around 450 or 500 cash as he thinks the motor is locked up. He explained to me that he means that it seems like a possible engine being locked up or the drivetrain. The bike has 24,000 miles registered on the speedometer he said the speedo stopped working approximately a year before the bike stop running so I'm going to estimate that roughly around 34,000 or 44,000 miles total. My question is this, could there possibly be something that is not a catastrophic failure that could cause it to show signs of or appear to be locked up. At least to the untrained eye/not so mechanically inclined Hell even the mechanically inclined. Any advice would be very appreciated, it would seem to me if I can get into the bike for around three or $400 that even if it was a catastrophic failure I could probably get it up and running without completely losing my rear end on the deal.
