Default Suzuki Intruder info

Good evening riders,

I have an 03 Intruder and for some reason this just started to happen when I ride. I can be on the road 50-60 MPH and then my bike just turns off. Well, at first I thought I bumped the kill switch, but it happened three time within about a 5 min time span. The bike will start back up but...
Has this happened to anyone?
I also thought the kill switch on my handelbars had a loose connection.

Is it possible that the road vibration is making the kick stand jiggle a bit and thereby triggering an engine kill? (i.e., your bike thinks the kick stand just went down).

Its a heavy bike almost 600lbs, and depending on your size and statue, I might suggest a lighter bike like a 250cc to start with.
May I recommend an enduro 250 or something similar around 300lbs. to try.
If you can handle and standup a Intruder, then go for it.
One more thing, when sitting on the bike, do both of your feet lay flat on the ground. If they don't, another reason to look elsewhere.

I would most likely bet it's one of your battery terminal connections. Remove the cover, then one at a time remove the positive connection, then the negative, clean them with an emery board until the brass shines again, clean up the screw and nut that connects them, and last clean up the battery posts themselves and then put the wires back on the terminals and make sure the connections are very tight. I have owned 4 Intruder 1500's and have had to do this to every one of them because of the same problem.

I think you should check the down switch of the front side handle and if there the main connection is right there might be the issue of someting other problem. If it is so please contact your dealer.
