I have about 450 miles on mine now and I must admit I LOVE IT!! However a couple of very small complaints, 1) The sound, the volusia I had before sounded much better and 2) The is an irritating vibration at high rpm's. Hope this settles down as bike breaks in.
Enjoy the ride, man! I know I do.

RE: Its a blast!

My brother bought the C90 a few weeks after I bought my S83. Didn't think I would like that style bike but after riding his fell in love with it. One sweet ride!! Especially 2 up. His engine (valve train) was noisy and the exhaust note pretty anemic when he first got his. After the break in service engine (valve train) all quiet now and the more miles he puts on it the better the exhaust sounds.

The exhaust on my S83 sounded pretty anemic when new also. The more miles on it the better it sounds. Just turned 6000 miles and sounds the best yet. Give it a little time. I really like the Suzuki V-Strom but thinking about a C90 when/if I get tired of my S83. C90 is an excellent 2 up bike.

any exhaust system be it bikes or cars, has to break in, and will grow louder as time goes on, to a certain extent anyway.

Allow me to say that 3 1/2 years later the c-90t is still a rock. I have an 2008 and it rides and sounds sweet.

I also Just bought a C90. It is an 07 but brand new! 0 miles.
I have been off a bike for over 20 years but just love it. It rides and handels great. I spent a lot of time looking at the bikes out ther Harley-Yamah-Honda ect.. But this bike really caught my eye. (was leaning towards the Kawasaki Nomad) Cant wait till the snow and rain stops here so I can ride every day.

Re: It's a blast

I had a 2007 C50 that I loved, but I was always looking for that missing gear. I took it into the shop to put new pipes on it and was looking around the showroom. A C90 caught my eye.

"Whoa!" I said to the service guys. "Hold those pipes!"

An hour later I drove the C90 out of the shop.

After 8,000 miles I love it more with each ride. Put some Added Cobra slashdowns and Power Commander and I now own the road!

I've had my 07 C90T for 2 years now. Not a single problem and like others, I have found that the exhaust note gets better with age. I bought my bike at a dealer that sells all of the Japanese brands.... sat on several big metrics... the C90 felt best and was by far the best value. I think the C90 has got to be the best kept secret in the MC world.

Good morning all. I'm a new member to the board and a new owner of a C90T. I got it in October and got about 1000 miles on it before the snow flew (133 inches of it so far). I LOVE IT! Can't wait for the weather to warm up. I'll be looking for a nice looking lightbar this spring. Does anyone have suggestions on one that looks good on the C90? Many thanks...

vikingpnut 03-04-2009 11:10 AM

suzuki actually has one I got for my m50 which looks really good. I've gotten a lot of positive compliments. But there are plenty out there whether you chose Kuryakin or others they'll all probably look good, you'll just need to decide on style.

Triggerider 03-12-2009 08:01 PM

If you want a lightbar on a C90T, you'll pretty much have to go with the one that Suzuki makes. I looked into this myself about a month ago after finding a good deal on a Cobra lightbar on Ebay. I posted a thread on the Delphi forum to ask before I bought... those guys know everything there is to know about these bikes... they told me that only the OEM bar will fit with the OEM windshield. About 2 weeks later, another forum member posted a thread that said he bought a Cobra on Ebay (I think the same one) that the seller said would fit a C90T... it didn't. Apparently the T in C90T does matter when ordering accesories. - Rick

Just bought my C90 one month ago. I love the ride. I also own a Kaw Vulcan 900 but was always looking for the next gear. The C90 rides smooth and after 100 miles love the bike. I live in East TN. and get to ride a lot of twisties, Blue Ridge Pkway, etc and the bike performs well. I am in Florida now doing some flat riding and it is so comfortable. I agree--a great bike for the bang. Look at it before you buy!!!

Correction to last post. After 1000 miles not 100 miles. Sorry about that!!!

This is a cool site

I'm looking to buy my first bike this coming weekend (AtLast:D). I decided on the C90 a few months ago. I've never ridden it but of all the bikes I've researched it feels the best ergonomically and I really like the way it looks. The only thing that somewhat concerns me is that I haven't read anything negative. It almost seems too good to be true.

tmac0033 04-23-2009 07:03 AM

WHat a blast

Well, there is the matter of the small gas tank. Why they ever put such a small tank on such a big cruiser I'll never know.

Triggerider 04-24-2009 10:30 PM

The C90 IS too good to be true. Terrific bike, a great value, good looks and practically bullet proof. And it's a good thing they seldom break, because I have heard some horror stories from the few guys who did have problems and tried to get help from Suzuki customer service. I think that if the Japanese acknowledge that they screwed up they have to commit ritual suicide or something.

C90T thinking about the purchase

Hello All, I never had a bike before but always had the itch. I have a 06, 1500 boulevard w/3000 mi on it that I am thinking about but the only thing that I do not like is the sound. Does anyone know what I can do about that. Bear in mind that I am very new here, just passed my test and safety course last Fall. Thank you

vikingpnut 04-25-2009 11:02 AM

you can debaffle, or go to an after market exhaust. If you want to debaffle, you can go to you tube and see videos on how to do it yourself. Though I don't know what others will say, but my exhaust on my M50 has gotten louder after about 500 miles.
After market exhaust will probably need a power commander, though I think I saw a thread somewhere that had an alternative to that.

philfowler1 05-10-2009 07:06 PM

Tmac0033, I am thinking about the upgrade for my C90. How much should I spend on the Cobras and commander. Do it yourself or pay a shop? How much improvement in power? It is pretty weak for a 1500. thanks, Phil

tmac0033 05-11-2009 06:10 AM

Philfowler, I spent a pretty penny but it was worth it. I didn't trust myself on the install, had the shop do it. Pipes, power commander etc. were around $1,000 as I recall.

It definitely helped power, but not a huge amount.

philfowler1 05-12-2009 08:17 PM

Thanks for the reply Tmac. For $1000, I will have to wait a while, then. I just got mine, and will get it out on the road soon with friends and open it up, see what power it really has.

I am a new member. I had a 2009 C50 that I put 5K on in a year. Traded it for a 2013 C90T BOSS and love it. Added the back rest for my Son to occasionally ride it with me. Handles much different with the wider bars than the 800 but on the interstate it is so much more solid. The wind doesn't affect you nearly as much and it is very comfortable at higher speeds.
