Default Maintenance plan a good deal?

I just bought a New C90 and am wondering if the Maintenance plan would be a good deal.
I understand the first maint at 600 miles (I am already at 300) can be $300+ and I plan to ride it quite a bit when the weather is decent.
My dealers plans are $750 for 12mo $1275 for 24mo and $1795 for 36mo
they include 2 maint sevices anually and unlimited oil changes.
I would not call myself a mechanic but I am mechanically competent. What kind of expense can I expect for maint on this bike?

hmmm, personally that seems a bit steep for my taste. The most expensive thing to do so far is the oil filter. I have a c50 and its about 8 bucks for the filter, which only needs changing about every other oil change. I also had the valves checked/adjusted and that was around 100 bucks. But I guess its all what you prefer, convinience of not doing the maintenance yourself, or do it yourself.

As far as dealer plans go, that seems to be about average. It will depend on if you think you need your full schedule of maintenance done to keep your bike happy. My dealer offered a 2 year or 6 visit plan which I got at 1/2 price of normal fees. I do the maintenance every other one, change the oil at 1500, and let the dealer do the scheduled maintenance at the $700 -1000+ range. I'm also limited on workspace and allowed repair stuff in the community where I live.(no garage) Hope this helps.

Mine is a 07 C90T. I bought the extended warranty and the service policy. Total cost was about $2200. In my two years of ownership and equal amount of time on owners forums I have learned that these bikes are practically bullet proof and easy to work on as well. If I knew any of this before I bought mine I would have saved my money. (Actually, I probably would have bought more chrome)
