Side-by side differences between model years?

I'm ready for my first new (or newer than what I have) bike and the Boulevard C50 seems to be the win on all the specs.

The one thing I'm really curious about is what exactly are the major differences between model years 2005 to the present or most recent model?

I'm trying to get financed for a new one but can't seem to get it off most likely because my credit sucks. So, I'm probably going to go for an '05 or '07 if I can find one from a private seller, but (again) just curious what I might be missing out on (or not).

For example; I see every model since '05 has fuel injection, shaft drive - just a little foggy about the rest of the specs or how they compare side-by-side.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have both the 2005 Suzuki C90 (1500) and the Suzuki S83 (1400). The major differences in the C90, is: pre-2005 were carburated engines, while the 2005 and newer bikes had fuel injectors. "Most parts" will fit the C90's from 2005 thru 2009.
The 2005 S83 still had caburators.
With you wanting the C50... this probably isn't much help.... sorry - I don't check this forum very often.
