Voltmeter on a 2005 C50

As i have added on some LEDs and driving lights, I thought it might be a good idea to have a Voltmeter. I bought the Kuryakin version and the instructions are to hook the hot wire to an "ignition on" power source and and it will then monitor the entire electrical usage for you and let you know if you have too many things running at the same time.

What wire should I splice it to, what color, and where do I find it?

Simple, huh?

TIA

RE: Voltmeter on a 2005 C50

First off L.E.D.s don't draw much power at all, hence the reason new vehicles are using them, as well as they have a lot less resistance. Now when you hooked up your driving lights you should have wired them in completly seperate from the bikes system i.e. you did not splic into the harness or wire into another existing wire, your driving lights wires should go straight to the battery, of course connecting to your on/off switch and a fuse just before the battery. If done correctly then you will not need a voltmeter. your bike will should handle the load fine.
