just got a c90 just wondering if there is any thing i should look out for first touring bike got rid of gsxr for this getting to old to go very far on a bullet

I have a “06” C90T with about 5,000 miles. Last summer I rode it out to New Mexico, I came to the realization that after a hot restart (after refueling or any other reason to stop) it would run like my old sporty did until it got good a warmed up. After coxing and babying it, to get back on the highway then it would run right there with my buddy. This started at 3,000 feet elevation +.
