M50 NEW clutch full adjusted will *NOT* put power to wheel

We just replaced the clutch, put the proper 10w40 oil (without additives!) in place, and did a full clutch adjustment. You can feel the clutch engage and the bike goes into gear. However, zero power to the rear wheel and you can hear a whine that seems to come from the front (engine) half of the drive shaft. This is a 2008 Boulevard M50 with only about 10k miles on it.

Are the transmissions on these known to go out this early in the game? Could the front splines be to blame?

Is this a deal where it's "better take it to the shop before you really break it" or is this really worth removal of the rear wheel to actually look at something else?

Glad to provide any more info the forum needs on this one.

have you figured this out? I am having a similar problem.
I thought at first that it was the spines on the drive shaft or u-joint and followed that route. there was no issue, I now have the clutch out but that looks fine as well.
I don't want to take the transmission out. that means the frmae needs to come apart and I do not wish to do that.

Follow up

Yes the follow up was pretty simple but a huge pain: there are several full rear end assemblies for sale on eBay. But I had to go through three of them before finding a used one that worked.

As soon as I knew it was solid, I sold the bike. This is obviously a horrible Suzuki design flaw. The rear drive shaft and gear box.
