Suzuki Boulevard M50 2005 Engine Swap
I have a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard M50 with a blown engine and transmission. I have been shopping around for used engines in wrecking yards and on ebay. I am wondering if anyone knows What other engines are compatible with this bike.
One example, I found a 2008, exact same bike, does anyone know if that would work, or anything needs to be altered to make it work?
Also, would the engine from a C50 work?
I have asked many mechanics and dealers and nobody seems to be certain as to which engines are compatible with my bike. And I just don't want to spend the money and hope that it works, but have a difficult time finding the exact same year\model engine for a replacement.
Thanks,
Derek

I am most certain the C50 engine will work on the M50.
My wife has a 2006 M50 & I have a 2006 C50 the engines look identical.
On my wifes M50 we have even put the C50 fenders on it. It looks really nice that way.
The rear fender is a direct bolt on, you have to use the M50 seat next to the tank and the C50 seat on the rear fender.
The front fender requires fabrication of a bracket to mount it. It was easy to make, I just cut one out of 1/4" thick aluminum plate.
