2013 S40 dies when given gas
My 2013 Suzuki Boulevard S40 has been sitting for four years. I finally have an opportunity to fix it up and get it road ready again, but I am running into trouble. It will start just fine and will stay on during the start-up procedure. However, when I let it idle without the choke it dies 1-2 min later. If I give it any gas it dies immediately.
Here is what I have done so far: Replace the old gas Inspected fuel tank for rust Checked fuel and air lines for blockage Took apart and cleaned the petcock Took apart and cleaned the carburetor Adjusted the idle screw Replace the battery Replaced spark plug Replaced air filter Everything I have read suggests that its a dirty carb, but I cleaned it and I am still having this problem. Not sure what else I can try. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
Try running the carb through a sonic cleaner. 4 years is a long time for a carb.
