S50 boulevard Sissy Bar and Rack
I must say, that I have been very disappointed with the aftermarket products for this bike. Suzuki is the only one that I can find that makes a sissy bar "officially" to fit this thing. The problem is, its only 8 inches high. I have called many of the aftermarket places for a sissy bar and rack, and nobody has come up with anything. I'm really frustrated. The 8 inches Suzuki provides is almost big enough to hold a sandwhich. :-) I need something taller to put a big pack on the back. The 8 inches is not enough to secure something down adequately that has weight in it. The rack from Suzuki is also very small....a mere 6 inches wide. I could deal with that if the sissy was a lot taller.
So....anybody else own and S50 that has been able to purchase an aftermarket sissy and rack that is bigger then the 8 inch Suzuki one? I have been trying for TWO years to find one, and now I really really want to get one. For some reason, the aftermarket people forgot this bike in a lot of things...such as seats too. :-) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, brent |
RE: S50 boulevard Sissy Bar and Rack
I've got an 05 M50 I bought earlier this year. It's got a sissy bar that's 12 - 13" tall. It's got a hard M50 decal that would easily peel off the back. I've seen the same sissy bar at the dealer I frequent. http://www.boulevardsuzuki.com/default.aspThis is one site attached to this forum that seems to have a lot. Really though you should be able to make any parts fit if you've got the correct width for the attaching pieces. I bought a generic luggage rack off Ebay for $30 and had no problem installing. Hope this helps. I'd post a picture here, but I've never been able to load one here. At the Pride in What you Ride website there's a picture attached to some of the posts I've had there.

sorry, it was generic as in no box, no stamped name on it. I just had measurements off my bike, and emailed the seller on ebay for the measurements on the rack. Specifically the width of the arms with the screw holes.
