S50 problems
 

I bought my wife a brand new S50 in 2007 and am totally disappointed in it from day 1. Right off of the dealer's lot it was doggy and had a terrible off idle stumble. Then we discovered the shifter lever would "rachet" -(chatter and jump) when putting the bike down to first gear. It will also not go into first gear after putting it in neutral unless you double clutch it. You can push down on the shift lever all day and it won't go in until you leave the clutch part way out and pull it in again. Now the bike sometimes goes into this neutal mode between upshifts like it's neutral. We got no support to correct this bike since new. Supposely it's all my wife's fault that she's not shifting it hard enough and that the bike is normal. Been told this by numerous dealerships. Well I rode the bike and I don't play around shifting. This bike is not right and I can't believe we are the only one with these problems.
