Clueless on Motorcycles
My son just received a new JR50. I need education on maintenance!!!
What type of fuel do I use?
What about the oil?
Is something pre-mixed?
Does the bike have some sort of governor on it?
My child received this from his uncle, and we have not recieved any type of manual. I would like to know how to properly care for the bike.
Thanks
Paula

RE: Clueless on Motorcycles
I'm sure you've gotten some answers by now by here's some anyways.
There should be a governor on twist throttle box (RT side on handle bars - looks like a little screw...in = slow). If there's not then it's directly on the carb. A good Suzuki will adjust for you for free.
Fuel....just fill regular gas and go. There is a small oil tank under the seat which needs to be filled every now and then but very rare. Make sure you use "2-Stroke" motor oil and not regular stuff.
Maintenance....get some chain lubricant for off-road and spray it on every 2-5 tanks of gas (wet or dirty weather - MUD), 5-10 tanks for dry and clean weather (grass/gravel).
Have fun and ride safe
