92' sidekick 4x4. overdrive light started flashing and lost power. any suggestions? computer? won't go over go over 30 mph. almost like it is starved for fuel (i have a full tank)

Our 05 Forenza did that once. The dealer reprogrammed the computer (or so they say) and it has been fine ever since. It seemed to me at the time it was some sort of fail-safe mode that would let you get out of the traffic without damaging the motor.

 

It is your on board computer management system that has detected that there is something wrong with your engine or cat converter, best take it to a garage where they will find the fault via a computer.
