Hi all,

I have an 03 1.6 Vitara which is giving me a headache. Hope someone can help.
Scenario: I start the engine from standing overnight or being at work for 8 hours. Starts fine, choke working fine. Engine warms up to the point where the choke is disengaged. Problem starts at this point. The engine won't idle when i come to a stop or slowing right down, the revs just drop off too a stall. By trial and error i have found that if i turn the engine off, wait a few seconds, then start up again the problem rectifies itself and Vitara runs normal. Why? Any ideas? I know it could be dampness but it has also happened during warm weather.
