Why can't my computer read avchd files?
I recently got a panasonic HDC-SD10 and when i tried uploading the video files it said it couldn't read the AVCHD files. The pictures I take on the camcorder work fine, but somehow the videos don't get read. I assumed it was my computer that was a PC, and I recently just got a mac, but the files aren't read on the mac either. What's wrong? Is there anything I can download to read the files?

For Mac users, if you cannot import Panasonic HDC video to Mac to enjoy, or cannot directly edit Panasonic AVCHD MTS/M2TS files in iMovie, FCP, FCE, you need to convert Panasonic HDC videos to MOV, MP4, 3GP, M4V, H.264 for Mac and then you can edit converted AVCHD MTS/M2TS video with iMovie, iTunes, FCP, FCE, etc.
