1988 RG250 won't start...PLEASE HELP

hi guys, i'm new to this forum, partially because i've never seen it before, and mostly because i'm having a serious problem with my rg250.

no matter what i try (i haven't yet taken it to a mechanic, as i do not currently have the money, and would prefer to try anything else first), i can't get it to start.

the battery is fine - all lights and indicators working. there is definitely fuel getting to the carbys. i recently replaced the ignition coil, hoping that was the problem, but still nothing. replaced spark plugs, leads are all connected. so i'm literally at my wit's end as to what to do. i'm convinced however, that it is definitely the electrics that are the problem, but unfortunately i haven't been able to pinpoint it.

if anyone on here happens to have an rg250 or rgv250 workshop manual, i need your help. would it be possible for you to scan the diagrams for the ignition layout and post them for me to look at? i know it's a big ask, but i need help.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

RE: 1988 RG250 won't start...PLEASE HELP

the first thing to do is check to see if your getting spark at the plugs . take a spark plug out and put it in the wire and hold it next to the engine and turn it over if you see the spark then that part is good but if that is not it then it is not electrics.
