grinding, squeeking, whistling, and vibrating...no, it's not a cheap porn, it's my bike! plz help!

i have i new dr200se, it's about a year old and im having some ...odd...noices coming from it! i dont really know how to explain them. it first just started with a grinding nioce that i could only hear when i was in at least third and usually when slowing down or just starting back up (i could only hear it when the enigine noice wasnt too loud). i thought it was my brakes, but i dont think so anymore. then i had to use it to go across town for a couple of days and i started getting a starnge squeek from it and the grinding got worse. i cant figure out where it's coming from but besides the fact that it's embarassing, it's really starting to worry me. once i stopped going that far everyday it wasnt as prevelant, but i can still hear it and it's getting worse. and today i noticed ...i guess you'd call it a whistling sound. i've asked a couple of friends what they thought and they have no idea and honestly i dont want some jerk taking advantage of me b/c he thinks im just a girl and i dont know what im doing. the fact is i know i can fix it i just need some one to point me in the right direction! please help if you have any ideas!!!!!!....oh yeah, and i dont know if it means anything but i have a lot of play in my tires. they're properly aired up and everythings good (as far as i can think of).

The grinding sound may be generally indicative of a bad starter drive gear. The gear is attempting to interconnect with the engine flywheel gear and the grind is a clear indication that something is wrong. You just need a mechanical attention. ;)
