i have an rf-900 wrecked, frame and everything is good, i even managed to fix the mangled fairings. Motor is done for though. We found a wrecked 03 gsx-600r and I need to know if this motor will transplant and what all i have to modify to make it work. I've been told the gsx motors are the same block but different displacements and such but i took this as rumor cuz i've only heard this from one person. One thing i know is different, my motor is carb, the gsx motor is fuel injected so thats gonna be interesting to do. block may fit but making all the electrical match could be fun. Also does anybody know where i can get technical specs on the 03 motor? the rf was rated at 135 horse, torque is 9.7 kgm / 9000 rpm 100.2 Nm / 9000 rpm whatever that means in english. heres a site with some technical specs on the 900 if it will help any. http://www.suzuki-rf.de
