New Guy, 1500 VL question
 

Hi all,
I recently inherited my Dad's 2002 1500VL. Obviously this bike is set up as cruiser, and reminds me of the Harley Heritage Softail. I love the bike, and my wife and I had a ball with it last summer. My question is, I want to turn it into a bagger. I like the jammer fairing with the radio option, and I really want hard bags instead of the leather that came on it. I have seen pics of this model turned into a bagger, and am curious if anyone has attempted this, and what sources they used for parts. I am pretty sure I could get Harley fairing and make it work, as I am pretty good at customizing about anything, but would rather find a bolt on parts source.

I like this bike so much. Because The big 1,462-cc twin revved very easily. No tachometer is fitted but my impressions were proved correct when we sat the big Intruder on the dyno and gave the 3-valve per cylinder engine full throttle.
