suzuki engine changes
I bought a 79 GS1000. The No4 cyl is rusted up tight. Will a GS750 or a GS850 fit in the same mount?

RE: suzuki engine changes
Hi,
The GS750 engine will not fit in the GS1000 frame. If you are taking shafties, the 850G engine will fit in the 1000G frame and vice-versa. Take care to move the necessary driveline parts too. IIRC, if you move an 850 motor into a 1000 frame (can't you find another 1000 motor?) you will need some parts from the 850 U-joint that connect it to the 1000's drive shaft. If you have a 1000E (chain drive), there was no 850 chain drive from Suzuki.
