will not turn over

1996 Bandit 600s
14,500 miles

just installed new tires, brakes, and chain

how it started!
i was driving home after having a new chain put on (about 75 miles ago) when i ran out of fuel, so i turned it on reserve and got it started. i then got on the highway and made it about a mile when i saw the Tach. was sparatic (fluctuating alot) and decided to pull over and see if i had a loose battery connection. when i was down shifting the bike died. it was getting dark so all my lights were working and bright. i checked the battery everything was tight, and when i went to start it nothing happened, i didnt even hear the starter solenoid "click" i trailered it home and started to check things

took the starter relay/solenoid out and hooked it directly to battery- it "clicked" on and has a circuit
the side stand sensor has a circuit
the clutch sensor has a circuit
and the kill switch and push start has a circuit

i then used a screwdriver and bridged the poles on the starter relay and the starter turned over but there was no spark, which means there is still something keeping the starter solenoid from working and giving the coil packs power

i am out of ideas does anyone else have a suggestion???
