Default Caution Light problem

I recently purchased a 2003 GSXR 1000. Upon purchasing it I noticed that the caution lights are on and will not gooff. When asking the previous owner they informed me that it may be the power commander needs adjusting. Was told that power commanders need adjusted when moving from places with different weather and climate? Wondering if these opinions hold any merit and what I might be able to do to solve my problem.

Default RE: Caution Light problem

if your new bike has a new exhaust on it, check to see if the previous owner had to take the exhaust control vavle actuator off. if he did all you have to do is find the black and brown wire going to the ecm and take it out of the plug and tape it. and that should shut off your check engine light. I had same problem with my 04 gsx-r 1000
