gs1000gl 8 valve and gs1100 16 valve compatibility???
 

i siezed the engine in my '81 gs1000gl (shaft drive). im hoping to upgrade the engine with an easy drop in of a gs1100 16 valve. can bolt a gs1100 16 valve engine on top a gs1000 shaft drive crank case? thanks

From what I have learned so far, I believe the answer is no. As far as I have seen, the 1100 engine and trans is a clean slate compared to the 1000.
