Well, after 27 years of no 2 wheel motorized transport, I have indulged meself and just bought a new 2005 C-50.
why so long? HMMMMMMMMMM I guess I just plain ol' scared the bejeeejus outa meself on my last ride due to youth, adrenalin, poor judgement, and callous use of speed and power? How's that for an intro?
Well after a few years of yearning to get back into it, I elected to go with this fine mid(small?) v-twin cruiser.
WHy? Well if you're reading this still, it is due to a number of positives: great price, good fit and finish, good power for the price, FI, shaft drive, looks and feel.
The road reports from numerous sources, reveal a very good past history (Volusia, Intruder), handling, and reliability tells me that this is an excellent choice for me to get back into cycling: Kinda like Goldilocks here; not too big, not too small, not too fast, not too slow - JUST RIGHT! HAH!
So I have it ordered, awaiting payment to clear, shipping details, etc.
As I await anxiously, I ponder what I want to add to the bike and this is where I wish some input from others: I [i][/i]think I want the following:
[ul][*] The light bar set for not only looks but better visibility to others and meself[*] Saddle bags and supports to safely carry smaller items as I will be using this as a daily commuter as well as cruiser.[*] ???Windshield?

After that, who knows?
Any feedback on my selection of goodies is welcome. Best buys anywhere? Tips and tricks I should be aware of during break-in period? Oil of choice?
