Default New member New rider lots of questions

Hello my names Elijah, I just got my first ever motorcycle as of yesterday. I live in Michigan and had never ridden a motorcycle before, except that one day at summer camp, that one summer I can't remember. Well not knowing much about motorcycles I used the same philisophy as I use when buying a car. Low miles + large engine is the way to go. I think I was a bit off on that one lmao. So I now own a 2002 Suzuki Bandit 1200S. My first ever ride on it was a two and a half hour trip to get it home starting at dusk and ending in total darkness. I did make it home safe however and only laid the bike down once when I tried to do a U-turn on a back road when I got lost. (who the hell decided to put a bunch of beach sand on the side of the road =/ ) I soon found out that bigger isn't always better, that bike is heavvvvyyyy, and fast which isn't the greatest combo probably for a extremely novice rider whos an adrenaline junkie. I'm determined to make the match work out though. Had one heck of a thrill cruising down theE-way in 5th gear when I decided to pass a car and figured it was kinda like driving. You know put the pedel to the medal to pick up a nice boost, so I cranked the handle as far back as it would go and before I realized it I was going about 110+ mph, if my wife asks though it was only about 90 =P. Anyways I just joined the forums today and as you can tell I'm very new to both. (riding and writing)

Heh I know how to use the cluth on the highway, but that staling thing sounds errily familiar. At least its nice to know I'll get it perfected with time thanks Amos. Well with time and alot of pissed off drivers who have to wait through two lights till I get it going sometimes lmao.
