HEy all I am trying to help a friend get a broken key out of the ignition but we cant get it out. Is there any tips or tricks or diagrams that might help us out??? its a forenza 2005!!! plz help us LOL [&:]

 

I've used a bobby pin to get a key out. Be sure to pull the little plastic ends off so they don't get into the lock mechanism and complicate the issue. Usually you can put the pin in and pull the piece of the key out in one or two tries.

 

is the key metal magnetic? Might be able to use a magnet.

The fellow at the parts window tells me the keys are stainless steel, which is why it is so hard to find someone who can cut a key that fits. Checking my factory key with a magnet, I find it sticks.
