Hi everyone,

My wife's Niece has a son with a rare condition.

"Jason Michael Carpenter II is a 4 year old who suffers from CMT1E. CMT1E is a very rare peripheral nerve disorder that is a nerve and muscle wasting. The doctors have never seen someone as young as Jason Michael with the disease since it is usually a later in life onset. Currently Jason Michael walks with a walker as he does not have the ability to walk without support. It is expected that by his teenage years he will be confined to a wheelchair. The nearest specialist is located in Detroit, MI and needs to see Jason Michael on a least a yearly basis. Currently Jason Michael is attended physical therapy which, unfortunately, the medical insurance will only pay for 20 visits. As you can imagine, the family could use assistance in paying medical and therapy related costs."

The Southern Thunder Cruisers of Statesboro, Ga are hosting a Poker Run this Saturday June 12. starting at 9AM at the Recreation Dept. In Brooklet, Bulloch County Ga. (Home of the Peanut Festival). Sorry I know this is short notice...I just heard about it this evening myself.
