FS: 1986 Yamaha FZ600, street-legal race bike, very modded
Picked this bike up off another member on SSBC a year ago and have enjoyed it since (except the time or two it wasn't working right...lol). Since I've replaced a few parts with those I scavenged from various sourced...mostly a rebuilt motor, picked up from a gentleman in Houston. He wrecked his bike...so I benefitted...
<5000 on bottom end
(I may be mistaken because I'm having to pull this from memory)
**R6 pistons, new rings/seals/forged rod
**R6 crank, balanced
**R6 oil pump and gears
**FZR tranny assembly
**R6 clutch
<4000 miles on top end.
**full radius valve grind, new valves/seals/gaskets/what not
**-.2mm head shave
**1.0mm headgasket (-.5mm stock part)
**new timing chain
...obviously new plugs and wires
Rebuilt front suspension
**front coils are of unknown brand, Iused then at the suggestion of a friend.
**pre-load adjusters
**custom steering damper (no tank-slap)
**Front loaded, down 1"
New rear suspension
**New dog-bones, rear raised 1"
Fully adjustable R6 shock
Custom can muffler on yosh 4-1 header
Custom mounted FZR400 wheels (1" wider in front, 1.5" wider in rear)
Custom mounted R1 brake rotors up front (allegedly, they look too small)
Custom mounted FZR1000 calipers up front
Stainless steel brake lines up front
Rear brake is a joke...
Front sprocket down 1, rear sprocket up 1. Gear limited to 128mph,
but she gets there STUPID fast. Dyno'ed 84rwhp on a 380lb bike. She
moves, and will outhandle modern gix6's and R6's. 100% streetlegal,
tagged, and titled.
Now, things that are generally looked down one...
Rear subframe was cut to make the bike a solobike.
Seat has some tears.
Tail is unpainted and custom cut to fit the seat.
No kickstand.
No speedo (I have a digital speedometer I use).
She would need the carbs adjusted..she already runs out of her prime here, moving her further south would make a little work necessary.
I want $1300, but it's negotiable.
post email addy for pics.
