Faulty gas gauge
 

I have a 84 gs 1100 gk gas gauge not working there is a vacuum line that goes to what looks like the float but don't see any electrical connections does anyone know how these gas gauges work was Goin to pull cluster off and try tracing the lines but don't know how it's supposed to work please help
