I'm not sure which direction to go to get this fixed. New mufflers, entire exhaust, valve adjustment, etc...The dealership said they'd never seen this before. Couldn't tell me exactly what was wrong either other than to buy a new exhaust. The night this happened I was riding uphill and the bike started losing power through the gears. It started making popping sounds. I looked back to see there were serious sparks coming out of the upper pipe. It was glowing so hot something was melting out the back of the top pipe. After it cooled, I was able to chisel out what was dripping and pick it up with a magnet. I can't figure out how to add video here but I can send it to someone from my phone if anyone wants to see it. Any help on a possible diagnosis would be great.
