motor oil usage

RE: motor oil usage
Yeah, so you can do what ever you want to your car...they have to PROVE it cause the problem, they cant just say well youve installed (blank) and now you have no warranty! And alot of places will even try you, and say that...and believe it or not alot of them are totally unaware of that warranty act too.

RE: motor oil usage
Ive notice the past couple of weeks that my fluid levels have been getting high. For example, I check my power str flu was at max last week and this week it's up to the bottle neck. Same for brake flu, AC coolent etc. The weather has changed last week was at the high 80's this week high 90's-100. Can this be the issue has anyone experience this ?? I live in New Mexico where the temp gets to the high 100's.

Let him do the 1000 mile one....and if you get cheap or free oil changes...go ahead and bring our own oil(your favorate synthetic flavor) and let him do em...while your there tend to your warranty concerns at the same time. After about 7500 Ive usually got a couple of minor complaints that are usually covered by warranty...unfortunate for me, my 36k warranty run up, so all Ive got left now is the 100k...needless to say Im doing my own oil changes now. I also find for the best service(least amount of waiting) have them schedule it first thing in the morning...and then watch em like a hawk! Stand there...if your not there, often they wont fixi it propperly...cause the mechanic usually cant ask you personally.
One last piece of advice...ask if anybody working there in the service department actually drives a Suzuki...and them have only them work on your car! Nobody else really seems to get it...trust me!

You all should be very conciencious about your warranty! My 03 Aerio with no mods, and proof of 3000 mile oil changes, needs an engine at 50K! The district Suzuki rep said that rod bearings on #2 self destructed. The other three show signs of excessive wear. He also stated - "somewhere in the life of this vehicle, the engine was starved for oil causing the damage. Since this is not a defect, we can not cover this under warranty". Like all of you, I noticed that this car uses oil between changes and would top it off, . I'm not familiar with the law you're referring to, but I'm very interested in knowing about it. Other forums on the web have shown me that I am not alone with being denied warranty service, particularly when it comes to engine replacement. In the Northeast region, I have found almost identical scenarios in 9 other cases on the same year vehicle. My fight isn't over yet, since I'm contemplating a class action suit against the dealer and Suzuki. Trouble is, replacement engine swap from a local engine guy is $1800 w/ 1 year warrany.....suzuki wants $5100 for an engine with a 100K warranty (not 100k additional, 100k total = 50k from now). This on a car worth less than $4k. My attorney (whose licking his chops about this) wants a $2k retainer. Bottom line......these engines are just not quality merchandise, and "America's #1 Warranty" does not exist with Suzuki.
