No you wont be able to fit it under the seat, and yes it comes with a remotes **** for adjusting the bass level...BTW the amp portion has a built in crossover too!
Hahaha! Everyone wants to know about that towel!!! Its actually an oil rag thats folded up neatly and tucked there between the battery and reservoir, there for checking the oil level and/or wiping off anything that may need it...its always there.
Funny how everyone notices that rag, but you dont even notice my stealthy black ground wires [sm=smiley14.gif]

RE: ShortBuSX basslink - URGENT
I got this sub for my car already and am installing on sat 2/11/06. Should I mount like you have yours or the speaker facing up? I would like to still use the luggage cover. I don't think the luggage cover will still go on with the sub mounted like yours, but if it rattles like a bi-atch laid down the other way then I have to take it off anyway. Could I put the stuff that you put on the back of license plates on the underside of the luggage cover to keep it from rattling? Let me know soon what you think your best bet is.

RE: ShortBuSX basslink - URGENT
Well if you look close youll see the carpet in the hatch is black, I made my own hatch cover made out PFB and then covered it with aftermarket carpet. It helps the bass resonate, make bolting the sub down securely easy(and guilt free)...and its still functional like the plastic hatch cover.
I ditched the cargo/luggage cover...it ever so slightly touches, maybe 3mm seperate the cover and the sub. I dont recall it vibrating. With tinted windows the sub isnt visable from outside, even with the red LED shinning.
But once you get your sub installed, drive around and experiment with the sub placement. Mount it laying flat, mount it upright, move it around and see where you get the best sound.
I mounted mine like so, because its behind the small seat, it allows for more usable hatch space, I AM still able to open the hatch cover for storage...and it sounds good to me.
Have fun and enjoy your BassLink! Id like to hear your opinion of it. I love mine!
Oh yeah...and my hatch cover/Basslink is removeable, just disconnect the sub wires and pull out the cover/sub and replace the original for more usable space, weight savings or just to return it back to stock...very convenient. But if making your own, pay close attention to the shape of the original cover, its got all sorts of groves and notches to help hold it into place.

What year is yours? You can find 02-03 intakes by K&N as well as AEM on EBay...but Id recommend the K&N, as Ive had both...and the AEM didnt work out so good.[:@] And the K&N is a little less expensive too.
