2001 Maruader
 

Hope someone can help me, I recently purchased a 2001 Maruader from the original owner, the bike is in excellent condition and has 2300 miles on it. The problem is the bike does not perform well when driven, at first my thought was the carb's needed to be cleaned, due to the fact that the bike was in storage for 2 years and the fluids including the gas were never drained. so thinking the carbs needed cleaning i took the bike to a repair facilty, after a full day and 300.00 bucks, the bike still runs the same, I'am by far not a bike mechanic but a friend of mine owns a 04 s50 and under acceleration the bike is amazing, however I'am not having that luck with mine. The bike will flatten out at about 65mph and that is with the throttle fully open. The bike has no pulling power, even off the line and struggles to maintain highway speeds. it almost seems as if the bike is operating on 1 cyclinder, at idle the bike runs great. i think this bike should have no problem keeping pace with my friends Harleys, but it is lucky to get out of its own way, please help if you have any ideas.
