Default 2007S 50 purchase She is spitting and sputtering

Hey guys just puchased a used s 50 with 1500 miles on it.The bike sat up for about a month or 2 .I know that these bikes can be cold natured, but she still spits and sputters.like she is flooded or something.I figure the carb was gummed up from the setup time. Ive ran like 2 cans of sea foam through it . A little better but still bogs and spits at times.Anyone ever took carbs off to clean them and how hard do you think it would be .Any suggestions would be appreciated.Mac.

Used to work on carbs on cars. It wasn't that difficult and I ecpect motorcycle carbswould be similar. You just need to be carefull on rebuilds to make sure holes are holes and not covered up by gasket. After only a couple of months I wouldn't expect carb problems. But if you check into the carb, look at the float to make sure it pinhole free. I'd also look at the choke cable, make sure it moves freely. It might need oiling. Take a look at your plugs too.make sure they aren't fouled. Hope this helps a bit.
