84 GS1100GK tank swap
 

Hey, I’m new here her but have been searching for the last few months trying to find an answer and I’m hoping some of your more experienced members would be able to help. I can’t stand the bulky tank and seat off my bike and was trying to figure out what to do about it. Seat isn’t much of an issue as I can find just about any seat I want locally, but the tank however is my problem. I’m trying to figure out what other bikes tanks will fit mine without major tank or frame mods. (Trying to keep it simple 😂 but it’s not working) I found an 82 GS1100GL tank in decent shape i.e. no dents, minor rust, and no leaks but don’t know whether or not it’ll fit (don’t want to waste $175 to be wrong). I like the look of the GL tank for the seat I have in mind so any advice toward this seemingly never ending project is greatly appreciated!
