gearing

Like the Marauder that preceded it, the M50 seems to have tractor gears. Unlike the Marauder, you can't gear it higher by changing sprockets. So here's my question for all you mechanical geniuses . .
is there any way to gear a shaft driven M50 a little higher? I do a lot of touring and would like to be able to run along at 75 and 80 mph without turning quite so many rpm's. Thanks for any light that can be shed on this subject.

RE: gearing

I was told that there is a guy somewhere that takes M-95 and C-90's and converts them to trikes and sells the rears for about 400 each. Have been told that they will fit the M-50 with about 1/2" chopped off the drive shaft and drop your r.p.m. about 1500. I'm looking for this fix myself.

Check over at volusia riders forum for all the info you need. I just put one on my c50 and it really makes a big change for highway cruising
