96 rmx250 kick start gear question
 

Im new here and am having a problem reinstalling my kick start gear.

My problem is when I pulled my kick start lever off, the kick start gear on the out side of the cover wont come off. I already took off the screw, it moves up and down about 3mm but wont come off.

Ive looked at a diagram of the kick start and dont see a circlip or snap ring or anything and i need to remove this so i can reinstall the gear in the engine.

Does anyone know how to take the gear off the outside of the cover?

I spoke to soon, i got it off. I had to take a pully puller to take it off though.
