Reno Transaxle

I purchased a new 5 speed Reno in March of this year. Two weeks after purchase I noticed puddles of oil under the front of the car. The maintenance pros initially said it was the halfshaft seals, however after attempts at replacement they declared the transaxle bad, and ordered a new transmission. ( bad #1).

I picked up the vehicle after the transaxle was replaced and it had an unacceptable whine and vibration in 4th and 5th gear. The pros said it was a bad transmission (bad #2) and ordered a new one.

Again when I picked up the vehicle after the second new transmission it had unacceptable noise, what the maintenance pros thought was bad bearings that resulted in noise in all the gears (bad #3)

I picked up the car last week and guess what, now there is gear oil on the garage floor again in copious amounts plus the inner rim, brake assembly, half shaft, and transaxle are coated in 80 weight (bad #4).

The sad part of this is that the car has merit in it's design and concept, however, the quality control issues may be a millstone around the nexk of Suzuki American Motors. I ponder if suzuki has dine a giant disservice to it's reputation by outsourcing it's name to this vehicle.

RE: Reno Transaxle

Send it back to the dealer and start your Lamon Law claim. Three Trany swap outs damn, I'm glad I didn't buy the Reno now. I just pick up a XL-7 sweet V6 4x4 EX model. Yeah bro, you should just take it back to the dealer have them swap out the car for another one or get your money back it's not like the dealership is losing any money they just made more in the three trainy swap outs. It's amazing that they havn't done so. But it could be that their making so much money from your warrenty they don't want to change out the car until you tell them to give you a refund on the car.
