99 or 96 GSXR 750???
 

I purchased a 96 and a 99 GSXR 750. Both bikes were basket cases, and I should have left them that way and just sold off the parts. But being a mechanic I guess I like things together and purring rather than in a million pieces... I've always had Hondas, and frankly never paid any attention to other bikes so I don't know jack about the GSXR's... (other than they some how converted a life long Honda man and they weren't even running...) I have everything I need (minus paint) to have both bikesready to ridein a couple of weeks. I was going to keep the 99 and sell the 96 for no other reason than the 99 was fuel injected. The bikes are equal in every other respect, Clean paperwork, clear titles with matching stright frames and very low miles. I don't care if one has a better resale value, that's not why I'm building them in the first place. I just want the best performing, best all around bike. I don't want to build up the 99 with custom wheels, parts and paint, only to find the 96 is the better bike and have to switch every thing I've only found one person (dealer) with any experence with both, and he recomended rethinking my plane and keeping the 96, which has lead me here.. I'm looking for people with experience with both bikes, and their opinion as to which one is better and why.
