How to bring Panasonic HX-A100 1080p/60fps MP4 into Adobe Premiere Pro CS6
Panasonic is pleased to announce the HX-A100 Wearable Camcorder, designed to let users easily capture and share images of everyday life such as sports and events. The compact, lightweight design of the A100 makes it comfortable to wear. By setting the camera on the included Earhook, users can enjoy hands-free shooting without a helmet. A Multi-Mount option is also available for mounting the camera to a helmet or backpack. The waterproof design enables even greater shooting freedom in situations where the camera might get wet.
Panasonic HX-A100 can record MP4 video at 1920*1080/60fps, 1280*720/120fps, 640*360/240fps, ect models. If you have recorded some 60p MP4 footages and want to imput to Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 or under for further eiting, you will find the files are unsupported by PPro no matter Windows or Mac OS X system. Because 1920*1080 60p is a nonstandard format, hardly a Video Editing Software works well with it.
To successfully import Panasonic HX-A100 1080p/60fps MP4 into Adobe Premiere, you need the professional Mac Video to PPro Converter (or Windows version) to reformat the video to a comfortable format and bring the converted video to Premiere Pro smoothly. As far as I know MPEG-2 .mpg is the best suitable format for Adobe PPro and 30p is the best comfortable frame rate for movie, so in the article I will share the guide on converting 60p MP4 to 30p MPEG-2 with you.
Tip:
If you meet any Panasonic HX-A100 videos import issues on Windows like to Sony Vegas, Windows Movie Maker, you can get this Video Converter to fast transcode the full HD MP4 files for you.
Step 1: Start the converter for Panasonic video, and click “Add Video” to load your desired Panasonic HX-A100 full HD MP4 videos to it. Join MP4 clips into one by checking the “Merge into one” box.
Step 2: Select “Format” pull down list to select Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas> MPEG-2(*.mpg) as the best video format for Premiere Pro.
Step 3: To get a perfect video for editing in Premier Pro CS6, you’d better press the Settings icon to set the video size as 1920*1080, frame rate as 30fps in the Profiles Settings panel.
Note: For MPEG-2(*.mpg) output format, 30fps is the highest frame rate which can be recognized in Adobe Premier Pro. If you really want to keep the original frame rate, you’d better choose Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas --> WMV (VC-1) (*.wmv) as the export format.
Step 4: Click “Convert” to transcode HX-A100 60p MP4 to MPEG-2 for editing in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. You can follow the conversion process via viewing the progress bar.
After the conversion, you can successfully copy Panasonic HX-A100 MP4 clips to Premiere Pro CS6 for freely editing on Mac smoothly.
