1986 Cavalcade GV1400 help

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum so please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong thread.

I'm looking for info on parts sourcing for a 1986 Cavalcade GV1400. The only two reliable parts suppliers I have found are going out of business. I am in desperate need of a carb rebuild kit for the Cavalcade. Suzuki does not appear to have ANY parts for the Cavalcade and Mikuni does not even list the carbs on their product page, so no go there either. The carbs are Mikuni BDS33SS. I believe some misguided previous owner put the wrong size jets in the carbs and now the bike goes thru 6.5 gallons of gas in just over 100 miles. Spec sheet for the carbs in the factory service manual states the jets are supposed to be as follows:
Starter jet #25
PIlot jet #25
Needle jet Y-7
Main jet #105
I haven't pulled them and looked but my guess is the Pilot jet is way above #25. At idle the bike runs very cold, rough and has a very significant odor of gas. Anything below 2500rpm the engine will gurgle and pop. At highway speeds, 4000rpm or higher, the bike runs great but I can watch the fuel gauge fall fast. I did install street sweeper shorty's but the bike was running poorly before I swapped the exhaust. I have inspected the bike several times hot and cold for signs of leaks, both fluid and air.

I am a retired veteran and have been riding for 40+ years on dirt, street, cruisers, touring, and dual sport. This is not my first bike, BUT, I am in no way whatsoever an expert. I have enough knowledge and experience to build a bike from scratch but I don't know everything. My last project was a Honda CBR600RR complete teardown, refurb, and rebuild. That was a 2008 and I thought that was hard to find parts for. My current stable is the '86 Cavalcade, an '08 Kawasaki Versys 650 (don't laugh, very good all weather bike), an '08 Honda CBR600RR, a '98 Suzuki Intruder LX, and an '09 Suzuki GSXR636 (this one needs a lot of work).

Any info is greatly appreciated, Thanks for reading through this meandering rant.
