I'm planning to swap my 2003 xl7 tail lights for 2005 tail lights. Are the bulbs and harnesses the same, or will I need to order a 2005 specific harness and bulbs to make the lights work? I read on the other post that the lights fit and that the molex connector is the same going to the lights. It would be nice if everything was just plug and play, but I obviously don't trust it to be so.

Also, my gas door is hanging by a thread as the hinge wore out and is about to break off and I'm hesitant to just buy a new one if it's just going to wear and break again...any permanent fixes for this? It was originally hanging open, but I was able to temporarily fix the problem by putting magnets on it with double stick tape to help hold it closed. From what I've read this is a common problem on the xl-7, but I can't seem to find any permanent solution other than ordering a new part which will most likely do the same thing again.
