05 boulevard C90t.
Hi newbie here. I have a 2005 boulevard C90t I have had since brand new. I went to start it this spring and would not crank over. Battery is fully charged, headlight comes on and can hear the fuel pump run. FI light flashes and has stored a code c42. I researched this and found the common failure is the ignition switch. I ordered a new one and was shipped the wrong one. I read the issue is the immobilizer is not receiving the 100 ohm resistance value from the switch. I'm a retired GM tech of 35 years in GM dealerships. I used to bypass this feature in people's cars with a 2.2k ohm resistor to save them the expense of replacing the ignition lock cylinder. My question is can this be done on my bike? If so which two wires of the five wire switch do I cut and use to bypass it? It has a six cavity connector but one is unused. Searching for a good schematic with a circuit description has lead me nowhere so far. TIA.
