Default fuel sputters out exhaust when starting

Just picked up this bike. When I looked at it and started it, no problem. However, now it sputters gas out of the exhaust when starting.
I will be hunting around for a shop manual, but I thought I'd get a couple thoughts her.
Does this bike use a fuel pump? I have an 84 magna, and even though it's carbed, it uses a fuel pump.
I ask because when I turn the key, there is a clicking noise. Bike starts fine, just blows gas out.

Otherwise, are the carbs fairly simple? I mean, I am decent with the carb rack on my cb750, and the throttle bodies on my fz6. I can't imagine they are super difficult, but One should ask.

So, I asked these 2 questions, my thought is either the fuel pump(if it has 1) pumping too much fuel or too much pressure, or the float has something stuck in the needle.

I don't notice fuel spitting after the bike starts and revs a couple times. So, my guess is something in a needle.
