Default oil change c50

Is it possible to change the oil on my c50 by myself. I've never changed the oil on a bike before, pleanty of time on my car. I know where the filter is (duh) but where do you drain the oil and is there anything else special i would have to do?

Default reply to oil change on c50

Just last friday I changed the oil on my 2007 c50 and it was simple. The oil drain plug is on the bottom of the engine and it takes a 14mm socket to take it off. The drain plug itself should be about a inch long. I used a disposable baking pan, that you can find at any grocery store, to drain my oil in. I used Valvoline 4 stroke motorcycle oil in 10w-40. The oil filter was a little tough to spin off on my bike. Apparently they tightened it down pretty good at the factory. I used a Napa Auto Parts oil filter and the part number is ps1359. The bike should take 3.6 quarts of oil. Hopefully this helps you out and let me know if you have any questions. Good Luck
