I have a 2005 C90T that I just replaced the stator, R/R, and put a Gman Bully FI Controller on it. It seems to run really well once it gets going but I'm noticing it backfiring when I first try to start it. Any thoughts on why that may be?

Also, I have heard about hard wiring the stator to the R/R. I'm wondering if that is something that makes a difference instead of having it run up under the gas fill and then back down. Seems to me I could cut out the middle portion and either hardwire it or else put the connector down low and go directly to the R/R from the stator?

Finally, I have noticed that at around 30-35 mph, I will get a shake in the front end. I have heard of a death wobble on some bikes but never on this one. It's never bad enough that I feel I'm going to lose control. Just curious what might be causing this.

I'm new to the site and really hoping to find a group where I can learn more about this bike and do much of the work myself if possible.

 

Okay, so it seems as thought maybe no one knows the answers to these questions. Does anyone know of a good place I might be able to go to get some answers? Thanks for any help.
