my guess it's due to the gas in the tank...

You know...that was uncalled for. Someone comes here looking for help and gets a ration of, well a ration. If you can't help, at least don't hinder, OK? Jeez...

Ok, Frank, I don't have the answer but your question is in the same area in which my problem lies.
I've got fuel related issues, too. Now, I'm a noob and only have direct information on the Suzuki fuel system from what I've stumbled on myself.
My C50 has a stiff "hose" (I use quotes because it seems more of a pipe or tube than a hose but it IS flexible) with a pretty hefty connector at each end. I don't know but I bet that hose (and the connectors) has some pressure on it, much as in an automotive fuel injector system.Have you taken the seat off, loosened the tank and checked for leakage there at those connections? Maybe one of the connectors isn't seated properly?

Thanks for that. Someone else said it might be coming from the vent cap.

Vent cap? Did not know our bikes had them. A possibility is the cap for the filler, rubber either deteriorated or completely gone?
