Default Where the Boulevard M50 is Produced?

Hello Everybody.

I am planing to buy a used 2006 Boulevard M50 in U.S.A. and then import it to Mexico country by a custom broker.

but in order to figure how much money I will pay for custom taxes, I need to know where the bike was assembled or produced.

Somebody of You out there knows where the M50's are assembled?

I read somewhere that this information is contained in the VIN Number.

Could somebody help me with this?

I think in the owner's manual they describe what the VIN # means and they have a list with the numbers that correspond to each of the countries where they are produced.

Thanks in advance
Jake

I've gone through my owners manual, and can't see that information anywhere. Sorry. Maybe a dealer can help you.

Dear Vikingpnut.

Thanks for your reply.

I found on the internet an article which describe whats each of the digits means on a VIN Number the article is in spanish.

But this is like follow:

the first 2 digits in the Vin Number are:

The 1st digit = continent
The 2nd digit = country

where the bike was manufactured.

Can You tell me Which are the first 2 digits in TheVin Number of Your M50, and which Year is your bike.

Thanks in advance.
Jake
